Rehan Alavi is settled in Australia for more than 17 years and his journey of writing is spanned over twenty five years. He has written novels, poetries, short stories, skits, dramas and translated many segments for renowned literary magazines and Newspaper. Rehan Alavi is first migrant living in Australia who has written a bilingual novel in Urdu and English.His first English novel 'Beyond the Dreams' and its Urdu version 'Tabeer ki Talash mein' is acknowledge by leading writers and critics such as Shamsur Rehman Faruqi , Dr Shamim Hanfi, Amjad Islam Amjad and Mustansar Husain Tarar. His Novel was launched by Oxford University Press in 2015. Author’s work is also acknowledged in Pakistan by Australian High commissions in “Australia Day function”. His prize winning CD of short stories was also released in 2004. A collection of short stories and poetry has been compiled in his book 'Ek Ghazal Ek Kahani'. Rehan is also associated with Australian federal Broadcaster SBS Radio since 2002 and currently works as the Executive Producer for National broadcast program. He is a member and a regular reader of various literary societies/reading clubs and organizations in Australia and overseas.
