ye jamal kya ye jalal kya ye uruj kya ye zawal kya

dard ko ashk banane ki zarurat kya thi

hum ki chehre pe na lae kabhi virani ko

kisi bhi wahm ko KHud par sawar mat karna

maut ek darinda hai zindagi bala si hai

waqt to waqt hai rukta nahin ek pal ke liye

hansi ki baat ki usne wahan bula ke mujhe

kyun na hum soch ke sanche mein hi Dhal kar dekhen

abr utra hai chaar-su dekho

ye raat din ka badalna nazar mein rahta hai

wo bhi bigDa, hui ruswai bhi

dasht ki pyas baDhane ke liye aae the

hum ko KHush aaya tera humse KHafa ho jaana
