hamare haal pe kis din jafa nahin karte

har ghaDi karb-e-musalsal mein kaTi jati hai

tere har jaur pe yan shukr-e-KHuda hai ai dost

begana mile hai jab mile hain

kis rah pe hain rawan-dawan hum

jo ba-in gham bhi shadman guzri

taswir-e-iztirab sarapa bana hua

na-mehrban agarche kisi ki nazar na thi

hasrat yahi dil mein le chale hum
