aap jaate to haiñ us bazm meñ 'shiblī' lekin
hāl-e-dil dekhiye iz.hār na hone paa.e

maiñ rūh-e-ālam-e-imkāñ meñ sharh-e-azmat-e-yazdāñ
azal hai merī bedārī abad ḳhvāb-e-girāñ merā
Shibli Nomanimain ruh-e-alam-e-imkan mein sharh-e-azmat-e-yazdan
azal hai meri bedari abad KHwab-e-giran mera
ajab kyā hai jo nau-ḳhezoñ ne sab se pahle jāneñ diiñ
ki ye bachche haiñ in ko jald so jaane kī aadat hai
Shibli Nomaniajab kya hai jo nau-KHezon ne sab se pahle jaanen din
ki ye bachche hain in ko jald so jaane ki aadat hai
jam.a kar lījiye ġhairoñ ko magar ḳhūbī-e-bazm
bas vahīñ tak hai ki bāzār na hone paa.e
Shibli Nomanijama kar lijiye ghairon ko magar KHubi-e-bazm
bas wahin tak hai ki bazar na hone pae
farāz-e-dār pe bhī maiñ ne tere giit gaa.e haiñ
batā ai zindagī tū legī kab tak imtihāñ merā
Shibli Nomanifaraaz-e-dar pe bhi main ne tere git gae hain
bata ai zindagi tu legi kab tak imtihan mera
tasḳhīr-e-chaman par nāzāñ haiñ taz.īn-e-chaman to kar na sake
tasnīf fasāna karte haiñ kyuuñ aap mujhe bahlāne ko
Shibli NomanitasKHir-e-chaman par nazan hain tazin-e-chaman to kar na sake
tasnif fasana karte hain kyun aap mujhe bahlane ko
ye nazm-e-ā.īñ ye tarz-e-bandish suḳhanvarī hai fusūñ-garī hai
ki reḳhta meñ bhī tere 'shiblī' maza hai tarz-e-'alī-hazīñ' kā
Shibli Nomaniye nazm-e-ain ye tarz-e-bandish suKHanwari hai fusun-gari hai
ki reKHta mein bhi tere 'shibli' maza hai tarz-e-'ali-hazin' ka
