kal chaman thā aaj ik sahrā huā
dekhte hī dekhte ye kyā huā
mujh ko barbādī kā koī ġham nahīñ
ġham hai barbādī kā kyuuñ charchā huā
ek chhoTā sā thā merā āshiyāñ
aaj tinke se alag tinkā huā
sochtā huuñ apne ghar ko dekh kar
ho na ho ye hai merā dekhā huā
dekhne vāloñ ne dekhā hai dhuāñ
kis ne dekhā dil mirā jaltā huā
kal chaman tha aaj ek sahra hua

mujh ko barbaadi ka koi gham nahin
gham hai barbaadi ka kyun charcha hua
ek chhoTa sa tha mera aashiyan
aaj tinke se alag tinka hua

dekhne walon ne dekha hai dhuan
kis ne dekha dil mera jalta hua
