in 1929, adabi duniya was launched under the editorship of allama tajwar najibabadi. the magazine’s masthead carried the inscription: a monthly panorama of ancient and modern literature from the east and west. the honorable justice abdul qadir was listed as the director, while tajwar najibabadi was the editor. the magazine featured sections such as the opening section, educational section, critical section, scholarly section, and historical section. additionally, creative works, including poems, ghazals, and literary discussions under the title dunya-e-adab, were published. maulana tajwar najibabadi wrote the editorial under the heading hal-o-qal (discourse and discussion). the magazine also had editorial contributions from mansoor ahmad, hafeez hoshiyarpuri, ashiq hussain batalvi, miraji, qayyum nazar, hamid ali khan, and abdullah qureshi. in 1944, when maulana salahuddin ahmed took over as editor, the magazine underwent significant transformation, both in style and content.
