this popular children's magazine, published by the national urdu council, new delhi, began its publication in june 2013. in the first issue, dr. khwaja mohammad ikramuddin was listed as the editor-in-chief, dr. abdul hai as the deputy editor, and nusrat zaheer as the honorary editor. with the change in the directorship, the name of the editor-in-chief also changes, so the responsibility for selecting and organizing the magazine’s content lies with the deputy editor, and the quality of the magazine reflects the deputy editor's taste and judgment. currently, ajmal saeed is the managing editor. the editorial of the first issue stated: "monthly 'bachon ki duniya' is a small attempt to make your childhood world even more beautiful. we hope you will definitely like it. we are presenting your very own childhood. inside, you will find delightful stories, cartoons, comics, interesting informational articles, descriptions of amazing things, the serialized beginning of a novel that is widely read around the world, beautiful poems, and your own column titled 'urdu facebook.' there are also old poems, stories, and jokes retrieved from grandmother’s trunk, which have been loved by children in every era." the regular features of this magazine include urdu sms, mental exercises, "mahine ki baatein" (monthly matters), and "aap ke sawal ahm the" (your questions were important). under the "karnamay" (achievements) section, the magazine introduces children to extraordinary feats of boys and girls. recently, some changes have been made to include new series. the first issue had the phrase "pehla shumarah, pehla qadam" (first issue, first step) printed on it. due to its beautiful and interesting informational content and the eye-catching cover, this magazine gained popularity quickly. its circulation is also higher compared to other magazines, and at one point, its publication exceeded one hundred thousand copies.
