About The Author
In 1866,born in a prestigeous,educated literary family in Delhi. observed strict purdah and learned Urdu and persian at home. Got married in a honourable , educated family in Jaipur,Rajisthan,and got title of - Bari Begum. She kept writing a wide range of poetry genre_ ghazals,salams,qaseeda etc. but there was no question of pubishing it. Her youngest son compiled her Dewan " Deewan e parveen" in 1915. She sent a copy of it, along with a qaseeda in praise of Mir, Usman Ali khan of Hyedrabad, who in turn sent khila'at (robe of honor) and five hundred Rupees.
