Nisar Fatima Kubra, Born in Patna,India,1895, in a prestigeous educated and litrary family. Her mother Rasheed-un-Nissa, is considerd to be the first woman Urdu novlist. According to the family traditions, Nisar Fatima observed Purdah and learned Urdu at home. She managed to learn some Hindi and English too. she wrote her first poem at the age of 11 years. To pursue her love of poetry writing and publishing, she had to face many hurdles. Her collection of poetry " khyalat e kubra" was published in 1939. She was a great fan of Maulana Hali and mainly worte on social issues of her time.
