About The Author

Qaisi Rampuri was born on June 20, 1908, in Rampur. His real name was Khalil-ul-Zaman Khan, and his father's name was Mohammad Zaman Khan. He completed his education up to the intermediate level. He began writing in the 1930s. In 1925, he bid farewell to his hometown and reached Ajmer, where he met Rafi Ajmeri. Qaisi's first short story, Isar-e-Mujassam, was published in the magazine Kaif, which was edited by Rafi Ajmeri. For a brief period, he also stayed at the residence of Khwaja Hassan Nizami in Delhi. In literature, he made his mark in the field of novel writing. In the 1940s, he began writing novels, a pursuit he continued until his death after the partition of India. He wrote numerous novels on social, cultural, and historical topics. The number of his novels exceeds 100.
Qaisi Rampuri was the son-in-law of the renowned writer, biographer, and travelogue writer Mulla Wahidi Dehlavi.
