Inayat Ali Khan was born in 1935, in Tonk. In November 1948 he reached Hyderabad of Pakistan. He passed his tenth from Government School, Hyderabad and did his graduation from the Hyderabad City College. Later, he did B.T.C. Like many poets of his age Inayat Ali Khan too had to embrace the exodus. In 1962, he passed his masters and stood first in the whole university. His pen name was Inayat. He was the writer of Urdu Darsi Kutub that he had written for Madaris-E-Sooba-E-Sindh, on the basis of competition and six of his books got the prize. He is an academician and basically a satirist. Azraah-E-Inayat, Inaayaat, Inaayatein Kya Kya, Nihaayat (selection of his poetry), Nisaab-E-Kitab-E-Urdu, Nisaab-E-Kutb-E-Islaamiyaat, Kuch Aur are the collections of his works. He has written many books for children.
