About The Author
One of the popular poets of Urdu mushaira, Khurshid Afsar Biswani was born on 16 March, 1941 in a place called Biswan in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh. As his father Syed Aashiq Ali lived in Kanpur where he worked to earn his livelihood, he also spent his childhood there. He used to join the company of Jigar Biswani and Hasrat Mohani along with his father. This brought him closer to the world of poets and poetry after which he started practising verse and attending mushairas. His poetry was collected in Dopahar. He also wrote in prose and published a book called Saleh Adab ke Muharrik-e-Aazam.
