Shama, Agra
In 1925, the monthly magazine Shama was launched from Agra. A distinctive feature of this publication was the involvement of progressive intellectuals and renowned historians, Professor Muhammad Habib and Hasan Abid Jafari, in its editorial team. The objective of Shama was to serve as a catalyst for new ideas and inspire critical thinking among its readers. It also aimed to recover and preserve valuable scholarly and literary heritage. The magazine regularly published articles on history, philosophy, politics, science, and religion.
