aadmi bhi aadmi ka raazdan hota nahin
aadmī bhī aadmī kā rāzdāñ hotā nahīñ
be ḳhabar rahtā hai lekin bad-gumāñ hotā nahīñ
zahmateñ yaksāñ makān-o-lā-makāñ se kyā huā
kyā ḳhalāoñ se pare bhī āsmāñ hotā nahīñ
ham ki ḳhud rah-rav bhī haiñ rahbar bhī haiñ rahzan bhī haiñ
vaañ pahuñchte haiñ jahāñ par kārvāñ hotā nahīñ
baḌh ga.e iḳhvān-e-yūsuf se ye iḳhvānus-safā
pheñk dete haiñ vahāñ jis jā kuaañ hotā nahīñ
hai jarāhat-āfrīñ darmān-e-dard-e-lā-davā
sho.ala kartā hai sharar-bārī dhuāñ hotā nahīñ
husn-e-be-pardā harīf-e-tāb-e-nazzāra nahīñ
ho nazar ke sāmne lekin ayaañ hotā nahīñ
marg-e-be-hañgām apne shahr kā ma.amūl hai
log mar jaate haiñ koī nauha-ḳhvāñ hotā nahīñ
jo bhī ho jis haal meñ hai zindagī us ko aziiz
jān-e-jāñ kahne se kuchh jān-e-jahāñ hotā nahīñ
be-adā-kārī bhī ḳhāmoshī se mar jaate haiñ log
yaañ pe koī khel mirzā sāhebāñ hotā nahīñ
aadmi bhi aadmi ka raazdan hota nahin
be KHabar rahta hai lekin bad-guman hota nahin
zahmaten yaksan makan-o-la-makan se kya hua
kya KHalaon se pare bhi aasman hota nahin
hum ki KHud rah-raw bhi hain rahbar bhi hain rahzan bhi hain
wan pahunchte hain jahan par karwan hota nahin
baDh gae iKHwan-e-yusuf se ye iKHwanus-safa
phenk dete hain wahan jis ja kuan hota nahin
hai jarahat-afrin darman-e-dard-e-la-dawa
shoala karta hai sharar-bari dhuan hota nahin
husn-e-be-parda harif-e-tab-e-nazzara nahin
ho nazar ke samne lekin ayan hota nahin
marg-e-be-hangam apne shahr ka mamul hai
log mar jate hain koi nauha-KHwan hota nahin
jo bhi ho jis haal mein hai zindagi us ko aziz
jaan-e-jaan kahne se kuchh jaan-e-jahan hota nahin
be-ada-kari bhi KHamoshi se mar jate hain log
yan pe koi khel mirza saheban hota nahin
