aaj jis par ye parda-dārī hai
kal usī kī to dāve-dārī hai
ā.īna mujh se kah rahā hai yahī
mere chehre pe be-qarārī hai
aaj va.ada vo phir nibhā.egā
vaadī o gul pe kyā ḳhumārī hai
terī āñkheñ ye saaf kahtī hai
raat kitnī hasīñ guzārī hai
aaj jis par ye parda-dari hai

teri aankhen ye saf kahti hai
