آپ کا سامنا جو کر بیٹھے
موت سے پیشتر ہی مر بیٹھے
دید ہوگی تو حال کیا ہوگا
خواہش دید پہ سنور بیٹھے
دل ہے سیاح آسمانوں کا
ہم اگرچہ ہیں فرش پر بیٹھے
پھول چاہت کا اک کھلا آئے
بزم میں ہم جدھر جدھر بیٹھے
شہر پروازؔ جل چکا لیکن
ہم دوانے ہیں بے خبر بیٹھے
