aarzuen sabhi shabab ke sath
ārzūeñ sabhī shabāb ke saath
saarī raunaq dil-e-ḳharāb ke saath
kis ko hai taab husn-e-jānāñ kī
kaun chaltā hai āftāb ke saath
us ko ummīd-e-sīm-o-zar hai aur
maiñ faqat sheroñ kī kitāb ke saath
mujh se bichhḌo to sochnā ye bhī
ḳhaar bhī hote haiñ gulāb ke saath
ruuh ke saath ziist kā rishta
jaise tūfāñ rahe habāb ke saath
kuchh na pūchho shabāb kā aalam
muddatoñ ham chale sarāb ke saath
mujh ko dil se nahīñ gila koī
ḳhuub guzrī dil-e-ḳharāb ke saath
