آستینوں میں سانپ پالے تھے
شوق میرے بھی تو نرالے تھے
گھر کو تاریکیوں نے گھیرا تھا
گھر سے باہر بہت اجالے تھے
میری جھولی میں جتنے کنکر تھے
میرے اپنوں نے ہی اچھالے تھے
جو ملے جوش سے مجھے اکثر
لوگ دل سے وہی تو کالے تھے
میں نہ سمجھی تھی چال دشمن کی
جب کہ اچھے سے دیکھے بھالے تھے
