اے شام شہر تمنا مری گواہی دے
میں کیسے کیسے نہ اجڑا مری گواہی دے
تو معتبر ہے زمانے کی ہر شہادت سے
اے چاک دست زلیخا مری گواہی دے
مرے وجود سے انکار کر رہی ہے خاک
کہیں تو محمل لیلیٰ مری گواہی دے
چراغ بن کے جلایا گیا ہوں طوفاں میں
اے چشم وسعت صحرا مری گواہی دے
کچھ اس طرح سے محبت میں حال ہو میرا
تو مجھ سے پوچھے تو دنیا مری گواہی دے
