aish ke jalse hujūm ālām ke
shobade haiñ gardish-e-ayyām ke
himmat-e-mardāna tujh ko āfrīñ
kar ke chhoḌā sar hue jis kaam ke
sub.h ke bhūle to aa.e shaam ko
dekhiye kab aa.eñ bhūle shaam ke
tū hī kar taklīf o paik-e-sabā
muntazir haiñ vo mire paiġhām ke
hāshā lillāh mai-kade ke kaase leñ
mo'taqid huuñ zāhid-e-ullām ke
miT ga.ī hai dil se āzādī kī yaad
kitne ḳhūgar ho ga.e ham daam ke
ab to charche jā-ba-jā hone lage
vā.izoñ kī bāñg-e-be-hañgām ke
aish ke jalse hujum aalam ke
shobade hain gardish-e-ayyam ke
himmat-e-mardana tujh ko aafrin
kar ke chhoDa sar hue jis kaam ke
subh ke bhule to aae sham ko
dekhiye kab aaen bhule sham ke
tu hi kar taklif o paik-e-saba
muntazir hain wo mere paigham ke
hasha lillah mai-kade ke kase len
mo'taqid hun zahid-e-ullam ke
miT gai hai dil se aazadi ki yaad
kitne KHugar ho gae hum dam ke
ab to charche ja-ba-ja hone lage
