aisī hālat na ho kisī dil kī
kyā kahūñ haa.e bebasī dil kī
lutf dekho ki vo sañvartā hai
le ke hāthoñ meñ aarsī dil kī
apnī hālat sunā.e vo kyuuñ kar
kaun samjhegā fārsī dil kī
ye sitam dekhiye vo kahtā hai
ġhair-mumkin hai vāpsī dil kī
zaḳhm-e-ḳhandāñ ko dekhte jaao
tum ne dekhī nahīñ hañsī dil kī
dil kā ā.īna rū-e-āshiq hai
is se zāhir hai be-kasī dil kī
ai 'jamīla' biThāo hasrat ko
vo bhī mehmān hai isī dil kī
aisi haalat na ho kisi dil ki
kya kahun hae bebasi dil ki
lutf dekho ki wo sanwarta hai
le ke hathon mein aarsi dil ki
apni haalat sunae wo kyun kar
kaun samjhega farsi dil ki
ye sitam dekhiye wo kahta hai
ghair-mumkin hai wapsi dil ki
zaKHm-e-KHandan ko dekhte jao
tum ne dekhi nahin hansi dil ki
dil ka aaina ru-e-ashiq hai
is se zahir hai be-kasi dil ki
ai 'jamila' biThao hasrat ko
wo bhi mehman hai isi dil ki
