apne ḳhālī-pan ko bharnā chhoḌ diyā
tanhā.ī se bilkul Darnā chhoḌ diyā
ab to mujh ko mere haal meñ jiine do
ab to maiñ ne tum pe marnā chhoḌ diyā
tum ko hichkī aane se bhī diqqat thī
maiñ ne tum ko yaad hī karnā chhoḌ diyā
āḳhir tum par hijr asar-andāz huā
tum ne āḳhir-kār sañvarnā chhoḌ diyā
us ne piñjrā khol ke pahlī ġhaltī kī
dūsrī ġhaltī pankh katarnā chhoḌ diyā
