ba-waqt-e-fajr andhere se raushni ki taraf
ba-vaqt-e-fajr añdhere se raushnī kī taraf
maiñ rāh-e-marg se aayā huuñ zindagī kī taraf
vufūr-e-husn mazāhir se bad-ravī kī taraf
sukūt-e-vaqt se aayā huuñ maiñ ghaḌī kī taraf
ḳhudā-e-arz-o-samā an-kahī kā falsafa thā
ye kun to āḳhirī harba hai āgahī kī taraf
huqūq-e-insāñ pe lecture kā in’iqād huā
alag kiye ga.e kuchh bachche gallery kī taraf
zamīñ pe ḳhatm huā silsila ‘atāoñ kā
safar shurū' hai avval se āḳhirī kī taraf
taġhayyurāt-e-'adam se uThī bahār-e-vujūd
nasheb-e-dasht se rasta banā namī kī taraf
salīqa-mand mashīnoñ meñ bā-shu'ūr īñdhan
nazar uThā ke to dekho na.ī sadī kī taraf
ufuq pe chāñd thā masjid meñ vaqt-e-farz-namāz
shu'ā'-e-kufr se aayā maiñ bandagī kī taraf
na.e chalan se kiran kā zuhūr bhī nayā hai
nigār-e-hast bhī yā'nī hai behtarī kī taraf
rumūz-e-vaqt kī pahlī class meñ bhī mirā
tamām dhyān thā sarkārī naukrī kī taraf

main rah-e-marg se aaya hun zindagi ki taraf
wufur-e-husn mazahir se bad-rawi ki taraf
sukut-e-waqt se aaya hun main ghaDi ki taraf
KHuda-e-arz-o-sama an-kahi ka falsafa tha
ye kun to aaKHiri harba hai aagahi ki taraf
huquq-e-insan pe lecture ka in’iqad hua
alag kiye gae kuchh bachche gallery ki taraf
zamin pe KHatm hua silsila ‘ataon ka
safar shuru' hai awwal se aaKHiri ki taraf
taghayyuraat-e-'adam se uThi bahaar-e-wujud
nasheb-e-dasht se rasta bana nami ki taraf
saliqa-mand mashinon mein ba-shu'ur indhan
nazar uTha ke to dekho nai sadi ki taraf
ufuq pe chand tha masjid mein waqt-e-farz-namaz
shu'a'-e-kufr se aaya main bandagi ki taraf
nae chalan se kiran ka zuhur bhi naya hai
nigar-e-hast bhi ya'ni hai behtari ki taraf
rumuz-e-waqt ki pahli class mein bhi mera
tamam dhyan tha sarkari naukri ki taraf
