باغوں میں ویرانے کتنے
ہم جیسے دیوانے کتنے
شمع تری غیرت کی خاطر
جلتے ہیں پروانے کتنے
یہ جانے پہچانے چہرے
لگتے ہیں انجانے کتنے
اہل ہجراں کو ہوتے ہیں
راتوں سے یارانے کتنے
نغمہؔ میرے جیسے ادھورے
ہوتے ہیں افسانے کتنے
