bahut chup ho shikāyat chhoḌ dī kyā
rah-o-rasm-e-mohabbat chhoḌ dī kyā
ye kyā andar hī andar bujh rahe ho
havāoñ se raqābat chhoḌ dī kyā
manāte phir rahe ho har kisī ko
ḳhafā rahne kī 'ādat chhoḌ dī kyā
liye baiThī haiñ āñkheñ āñsuoñ ko
sitāroñ kī siyāhat chhoḌ dī kyā
ġhubār-e-dasht kyoñ baiThā huā hai
mire aahū ne vahshat chhoḌ dī kyā
ye duniyā to nahīñ mānegī 'āsim'
magar tum ne bhī hujjat chhoḌ dī kyā
bahut chup ho shikayat chhoD di kya
rah-o-rasm-e-mohabbat chhoD di kya

manate phir rahe ho har kisi ko
KHafa rahne ki 'adat chhoD di kya
liye baiThi hain aankhen aansuon ko

mere aahu ne wahshat chhoD di kya
ye duniya to nahin manegi 'asim'
magar tum ne bhi hujjat chhoD di kya
