bas ek āḳhirī raste meñ ham khaḌī dekheñ
tirā ye chehra hasīñ dekheñ yā ghaḌī dekheñ
hai intizār tire sāmne se guzreñ aaj
musalsal aaj ye āñkheñ tirī laḌī dekheñ
ye aarzū ki tumheñ dekheñ jab kabhī āñkheñ
ye chehre pe tire muskān ham baḌī dekheñ
yuuñ muddatoñ nahīñ aatī tumhārī yaad hameñ
kabhī jo jaa.e to ashkoñ kī ham jhaḌī dekheñ

hai intizar tere samne se guzren aaj
musalsal aaj ye aankhen teri laDi dekhen
ye aarzu ki tumhein dekhen jab kabhi aankhen
ye chehre pe tere muskan hum baDi dekhen
yun muddaton nahin aati tumhaari yaad hamein
kabhi jo jae to ashkon ki hum jhaDi dekhen
