bayaban se aqidat thi bahut thi
bayābāñ se aqīdat thī bahut thī
bichhaḌ kar tujh se vahshat thī bahut thī
chune phir umr bhar ye zard patte
hameñ ġham se mohabbat thī bahut thī
jalā kar raakh kar Daalā hai dekho
vafā meñ us kī hiddat thī bahut thī
hare kartī rahī maiñ zaḳhm saare
mujhe aahoñ se raġhbat thī bahut thī
bikharnā ho gayā thā lāzmī yuuñ
tire lahje meñ naḳhvat thī bahut thī
