گھر بار یاد آ گیا بازار دیکھ کر
شہرت ملی تو دوست بھی اغیار بن گئے
پتھر تڑپ اٹھے مجھے پھل دار دیکھ کر
اک گام پر ہے زندگی اک گام پر ہے موت
میں ڈر گیا ہوں زیست کی رفتار دیکھ کر
سارے سخنوروں سے الگ ہے مرا مزاج
شہروزؔ شعر کہتا ہے معیار دیکھ کر
