bhigi palkon pe KHwab chhoD gaya
bhīgī palkoñ pe ḳhvāb chhoḌ gayā
ratjagoñ ke azaab chhoḌ gayā
ḳhaar saare sameT kar ik shaḳhs
apne pīchhe gulāb chhoḌ gayā
nashsha-e-vasl ab bhī baaqī hai
jaane kaisī sharāb chhoḌ gayā
DhūñDte phir rahe haiñ ham us ko
jab se ahd-e-shabāb chhoḌ gayā
ahd-e-rañgīñ guzar gayā 'rāshid'
pīchhe fikr-e-hisāb chhoḌ gayā
