chāñd ke saath jab vo chaltā thā
aks tālāb se ubhartā thā
yaar auroñ kī baat kartā thā
rañg tasvīr meñ badaltā thā
jo tirī hasratoñ pe hañstā thā
vo mirī bebasī pe rotā thā
band kamre meñ jab Tahaltā thā
aks dīvār se nikaltā thā
sāmne se kahāñ guzartā thā
vo jo vāraftagī se miltā thā

jo teri hasraton pe hansta tha
wo meri bebasi pe rota tha

samne se kahan guzarta tha
wo jo waraftagi se milta tha
