dil ko Dasne lagī hai tanhā.ī
dard letā hai dil meñ añgḌā.ī
phir usī bevafā kī yaad aa.ī
kaisā sāvan hai ye tumhāre bin
dil ko bhātī nahīñ hai purvā.ī
vo tasavvur meñ aise aate haiñ
duur bajtī ho jaise shahnā.ī
terā chehrā ki jaise jhīl-kañval
chāñdnī tujh ko dekh sharmā.ī
dil ko phir yaad aa ga.ī us kī
dard lene lagā hai añgḌā.ī
vo na ghar aa sake 'vajāhat' ke
yaad un kī magar bahut aa.ī
