درد جب داستاں بناؤں گا
درد جب داستاں بناؤں گا
آپ کو ہم زباں بناؤں گا
پہلے رکھوں گا اس زمیں پہ قدم
پھر میں اک آسماں بناؤں گا
اس نے خط میں بنائیں ہیں آنسو
میں بھی اب سسکیاں بناؤں گا
اپنے کمرے سے مشورہ کر کے
خامشی کی زباں بناؤں گا
تیرے ہونٹوں سے سرخیاں لے کر
دیکھنا تتلیاں بناؤں گا
جس میں لیلیٰ ہی مجنوں ہو جائے
ایسی میں داستاں بناؤں گا
