ek patthar gulāb se haarā
sab savāloñ ne ḳhud-kushī kar lī
jab maiñ us ke javāb se haarā
kyā mirā dard bāñch letā jo
aa.ina ik naqāb se haarā
us ko bhī jiit kā gumān rahe
maiñ bhī kuchh is hisāb se haarā
āḳhirī saañs le rahī thī raat
jab charāġh āftāb se haarā

kya mera dard banch leta jo
