apnā begāna na tum dekhā karo
har kisī se maslahat bartā karo
dūsroñ ke dard kī chhoḌo miyāñ
pahle apne dard kā chāra karo
go bulandī ho ki pastī har jagah
zehn-o-dil donoñ khule rakhā karo
is qadar ḳhāmoshiyāñ achchhī nahīñ
log kyā socheñge kuchh sochā karo
jis ko jo honā hai ho hī jā.egā
kaun kyoñ kaise hai kam sochā karo
saaf dikh jā.eñge chehre ke nuqūsh
ā.īna nazdīk se dekhā karo
ham-safar hoñge to bichhḌeñge zarūr
is liye ik ik safar tanhā karo
har-nafas 'āsī' ḳhudā kī den hai
har-nafas ik chaukasī bartā karo
dard wale ho to phir aisa karo
