dasht-o-sahrā meñ aab aanā hai

yā'nī koī sarāb aanā hai

roz ye soch kar maiñ sotā huuñ

aaj to us kā ḳhvāb aanā hai

mujh ko mā'lūm hai mirī qismat

mere hisse 'azāb aanā hai

ab maiñ jo chāhe pūchh luuñ us se

qabr se kyā javāb aanā hai

dasht-o-sahra mein aab aana hai

ya'ni koi sarab aana hai

roz ye soch kar main sota hun

aaj to us ka KHwab aana hai

mujh ko ma'lum hai meri qismat

mere hisse 'azab aana hai

ab main jo chahe puchh lun us se

qabr se kya jawab aana hai
