ya.anī mujhe bhī saath tah-e-āb le gayā
us ne nahīñ kiyā hai mirī raat ko hasīñ
go shaam ko hī din ke sabhī taab le gayā
thā ḳhuub tarf-dār tumhārā payām-bar
jis jis pe achchhā likkhā thā vo baab le gayā
maiñ ne nahīñ thī chheḌī mirī tab koī ġhazal
jab mere sab ḳhayāl vo be-ḳhvāb le gayā
tab rah gayā maiñ apnī hī us sādgī pe dañg
jab dekhā mere harfoñ ko tālāb le gayā
