دل کی ہر بات نئی چاہتا ہے
یعنی تنہا سفری چاہتا ہے
جس کو منزل کی تمنا ہی نہیں
صرف بے راہروی چاہتا ہے
اپنے ہمسائے کی خاطر یہ دل
گھر کی دیوار گری چاہتا ہے
تنگ اتنا ہوا آسائش سے
پھر سے وہ در بدری چاہتا ہے
جس کے قبضے میں ہے شہرت ساری
بس وہی اپنی نفی چاہتا ہے
بے خودی کا ہے یہ عالم کہ ظفرؔ
زعم اظہار خودی چاہتا ہے
