دنیا اپنی چھوٹی سی
سر پر گٹھری چھوٹی سی
اگلی سڑک کا آخری گھر
گھر میں کھڑکی چھوٹی سی
کیسے اجڑی کسے خبر
دل کی نگری چھوٹی سی
کس صحرا کی نذر ہوئی
ایک ندی تھی چھوٹی سی
کاندھوں پر جگ بھر کا دکھ
سر پر گگری چھوٹی سی
اس کے ہونٹوں پر آباد
ایک دعا تھی چھوٹی سی
ہاتھ میں اک بھاری بستہ
اور اک تختی چھوٹی سی
آؤ اسے بھی یاد کریں
نیند کی بستی چھوٹی سی
نینی تال کی بارش تیز
اور یہ چھتری چھوٹی سی
