gham-e-insan ki sajai hui duniya hun main
ġham-e-insāñ kī sajā.ī huī duniyā huuñ maiñ
anjuman mere tasavvur meñ hai tanhā huuñ maiñ
tapish o dard ke asrār se vāqif huuñ magar
mujh ko ye zo.am nahīñ hai ki masīhā huuñ maiñ
jaane kyā shai mire siine meñ bharī hai aisī
sham-e-sozāñ kī tarah jaltā pighaltā huuñ maiñ
na kashish huuñ maiñ zamīñ kī na huuñ paanī kā uchhāl
zarre uḌtā huā bahtā huā dariyā huuñ maiñ
roz paiġhām-e-mohabbat mujhe detī hai hayāt
rāh-e-dushvār se āsūda guzartā huuñ maiñ
chārasāzī ġham-e-insāñ kī hai buniyād-e-amal
zindagī hai yahī jis ke liye jiitā huuñ maiñ
pairvī-e-havas-e-ḳhām na hogī mujh se
maqsad-e-zābta-e-ishq samajhtā huuñ maiñ
asr-e-hāzir ke numā.inda haiñ mere ash.ār
ġham-e-insāñ ko taġhazzul meñ samotā huuñ maiñ
jazba-e-ḳhidmat-e-insāñ hai 'matīn' āb-e-hayāt
shukr-sad-shukr ai ehsās ki achchhā huuñ maiñ
gham-e-insan ki sajai hui duniya hun main

jaane kya shai mere sine mein bhari hai aisi

zarre uDta hua bahta hua dariya hun main
roz paigham-e-mohabbat mujhe deti hai hayat
rah-e-dushwar se aasuda guzarta hun main
chaarasazi gham-e-insan ki hai buniyaad-e-amal
zindagi hai yahi jis ke liye jita hun main
pairwi-e-hawas-e-KHam na hogi mujh se
maqsad-e-zabta-e-ishq samajhta hun main
asr-e-hazir ke numainda hain mere ashaar
gham-e-insan ko taghazzul mein samota hun main
jazba-e-KHidmat-e-insan hai 'matin' aab-e-hayat
shukr-sad-shukr ai ehsas ki achchha hun main
