ہم کو عادت قسم نبھانے کی
ہم کو عادت قسم نبھانے کی
ان کی فطرت ہے بھول جانے کی
سر جھکا کر میں کیوں نہیں جیتی
بس شکایت یہی زمانے کی
اس کی شرطوں پہ مجھ کو ہے جینا
کیسی دیوانگی دوانے کی
اس کو نفرت ہے یا محبت ہے
پھر ضرورت ہے آزمانے کی
بعد مرنے کے لے کے جاؤں گی
آرزو اپنے آشیانے کی
میں تو یوں بھی سلگ رہی سرحدؔ
کیا پڑی آگ یوں لگانے کی
