tum ko paanā āsāñ thā

umreñ denī paḌtī thiiñ
rishta thā ye rishvat thī
ik arse tak jaage the
kuchh to raat kī ġhaflat thī
us bin jiinā mumkin thā
us se ham ko qurbat thī
siip meñ motī kaisā thā
dariyā se kyā nisbat thī
logoñ se Dar yuuñ bhī thā
tanhā.ī kī aadat thī
