hujūm-e-ġham kī vo sauġhāt yaad aatī hai
lahū ke ashkoñ kī bārāt yaad aatī hai
laraztā dil hai judā.ī kī sā'atoñ se mirā
vo qahr-e-hijr kī barsāt yaad aatī hai
charāġh dil ke sabhī jhilmilāne lagte haiñ
shab-e-visāl kī har baat yaad aatī hai
mai-e-visāl se sarshār the kabhī ham bhī
nasha luTātī huī raat yaad aatī hai
vafā-shi'ār hai 'mohsin' use to har ik pal
'ināyatoñ kī vo har baat yaad aatī hai
