اس سے کیا بڑھ کے بد نصیبی ہو
ایک شاعر جو فلسفی بھی ہو
اک محبت مجھے بھی ہے درکار
جو کہ پہلی ہو آخری بھی ہو
ایک منظر ہو شانت ٹھہرا ہوا
جس میں بہتی ہوئی ندی بھی ہو
اک کہانی ہے میرے بارے میں
تم نے شاید کہیں سنی بھی ہو
یاد وہ شے ہے جس کے مرنے پر
دل میں ماتم بھی ہو خوشی بھی ہو
کیا خبر اس کے دور جانے کا
اک سبب میری خامشی بھی ہو
