jab yaad aayā terā mahaktā badan mujhe
bahlā sakī na bū-e-gul-o-yāsman mujhe
saḌkoñ pe jo phirāte the be-pairahan mujhe
ab dene aa.e haiñ vo mire ghar kafan mujhe
ahl-e-ḳhirad ke saa.e se ye dhuup hī bhalī
detā hai mashvara mirā dīvāna-pan mujhe
ik aarzū hai daulat-e-kaunain se sivā
kah kar pukāreñ log shahīd-e-vatan mujhe
fikr-e-hayāt-o-fikr-e-zamāna ke saath saath
fikr-e-habīb hai kabhī fikr-e-suḳhan mujhe

fikr-e-hayat-o-fikr-e-zamana ke sath sath
fikr-e-habib hai kabhi fikr-e-suKHan mujhe
