جنگل بھی تھے دریا بھی
ساتھ چلا اک رستہ بھی
محرومی نے خوابوں کا
جھلس دیا ہے چہرہ بھی
روٹھ گئی خوشبو میری
چھوڑ گیا ہے سایہ بھی
تو ہر شخص کا دکھ بانٹے
تیرا دکھ کوئی سمجھا بھی
اک لمحہ تھا حاصل عمر
یاد نہیں وہ لمحہ بھی
یاد سفر میں ساتھ رہی
یاد تھی میرا رستہ بھی
سونا شہر اداس گلی
گلی میں تھا اک سایہ بھی
ماضی مجھ میں زندہ ہے
میں ہوں روح فردا بھی
