jis se ye tabī.at baḌī mushkil se lagī thī
dekhā to vo tasvīr har ik dil se lagī thī
tanhā.ī meñ rote haiñ ki yuuñ dil ko sukūñ ho
ye choT kisī sāhab-e-mahfil se lagī thī
ai dil tire āshob ne phir hashr jagāyā
bedard abhī aañkh bhī mushkil se lagī thī
ḳhilqat kā ajab haal thā us kū-e-sitam meñ
saa.e kī tarah dāman-e-qātil se lagī thī
utrā bhī to kab dard kā chaḌhtā huā dariyā
jab kashtī-e-jāñ maut ke sāhil se lagī thī
