کبھی سورج کبھی مہتاب بنا لیتا ہوں
کبھی سورج کبھی مہتاب بنا لیتا ہوں
روشنی کے سبھی اسباب بنا لیتا ہوں
میرے آنسو کبھی بے کار نہیں جاتے ہیں
ان کو میں گوہر نایاب بنا لیتا ہوں
یہی آنکھیں ہیں بنا لیتا ہوں صحرا جن کو
اور کبھی ان کو ہی سیلاب بنا لیتا ہوں
کبھی خوابوں کو حقیقت میں بدل لیتا ہوں
اور حقیقت کو کبھی خواب بنا لیتا ہوں
میری کاوش کبھی مایوس نہیں کرتی مجھے
ہو زمیں کیسی بھی شاداب بنا لیتا ہوں
