کہہ رہا تھا کل ایک دیوانہ
کہہ رہا تھا کل ایک دیوانہ
ہر حقیقت بنے گی افسانہ
میری توبہ کی سرگزشت نہ پوچھ
ٹوٹ کر بن گئی ہے پیمانہ
ہے حقیقت کہاں خدا جانے
ہم بھی افسانہ تم بھی افسانہ
مجھ کو سمجھا رہا ہے یوں ناصح
جیسے میں عقل سے ہوں بیگانہ
اک فسانہ ہے ہر حقیقت کا
ہر حقیقت ہے ایک افسانہ
عقل کوئی کہاں تلاش کرے
تم بھی دیوانے میں بھی دیوانہ
دل کا راز ان پہ کھول دے آصفؔ
کہ یہ اقدام ہے دلیرانہ
