kaun Khaaliq hai kaisi murat hai
kaun ḳhāliq hai kaisī mūrat hai
terī sūrat ajiib sūrat hai
ye fasāna nahīñ haqīqat hai
ki mujhe aap se mohabbat hai
dil kī hālat sambhālne ke liye
shab-e-ġham aap kī zarūrat hai
munjamid ḳhuun ho gayā dil meñ
kitnī pur-lutf terī sūrat hai
aap ne hausla diyā mujh ko
paas aane kī ye jasārat hai
barmalā rūThnā bahal jaanā
kitnī dilchasp ye adāvat hai
