ḳhvāb to dekh chuke yaar suhāne kitne
ab ye batlā ki tire ġham haiñ uThāne kitne
phuul khilne bhī na paa.e the ki chupke chupke
gasht karne lage ḳhushbū ke divāne kitne
tujh ko mālūm nahīñ ek tire dil ke sivā
tere jogī hue duniyā meñ Thikāne kitne
dhuup is jism ke sūraj kī churāne ke liye
hijr kī raat tarāshe hai bahāne kitne
sham.a shab sher shafaq shaam shabāb aur sharāb
shoḳhī-e-lab ke haiñ ai 'hosh' fasāne kitne

tujh ko malum nahin ek tere dil ke siwa
tere jogi hue duniya mein Thikane kitne

hijr ki raat tarashe hai bahane kitne
shama shab sher shafaq sham shabab aur sharab
shoKHi-e-lab ke hain ai 'hosh' fasane kitne
